When it comes to attraction the way you dress makes for a solid impact. Appearance affects the way others perceive you, speaking a lot in cases of first impressions. Many try to mimic what they see in the latest pop magazines or try and wear what they see in the front window of trendy stores. However, while you may be wearing the recent trend, if it does not reflect your attitude then it will not catch the eye of others. To truly dress to impress you must first find your style, not the style of someone else.
When it comes to attraction the most common mistake made by those working on a self makeover is found in the area of fashion (the way we dress). This is usually affected by thinking that style is found in what the latest trend is. Now while the latest trends can cause a person to stand out, it can be both a positive and a negative reaction. The difference in these reactions is largely due to people either not having the body structure for a particular look or not having the attitude to pull it off appropriately.
Sadly we are not all built for the latest trends, certain body types such as a high waist for example, prevents people from wearing items like low rise jeans. Now while a person with a high waist could be in phenomenal shape, the way low rise jeans are meant to sit are not conducive to a high waist. Another item such as horizontal stripes on a shirt are not a positive accent for a person with a larger mid-section. Another thing that must be remembered is your over all attitude, this can also make and break an outfit, leading to a less then desirable attraction. In the case of someone with a very angelic face and demeanor, dressing in the latest halter top or miniskirt would generally cause for an awkward styling. The surprising answer to these issues is... It is nothing to worry about. These are many alternatives to shopping and wearing the latest trends which revolve around flair and style.
Flair is an effective way of creating an outfit to your body type, which in turn becomes an effective way of creating attraction. Flair is a way of adding various articles of clothing and accessories that work off each other. Everyone has seen males who sport the double polo, flair would be found in effectively working two colors with each other that create a pop to the eye (think white and a bright pale pink). Now if one were to add a white hat, a leather necklace with dark silver pendant, a silver watch with a wide brown strap, and plaid board shots with similar colors, we have created an outfit filled with flair. Now on a slim male this outfit would work fantastic as the double polo serves to create an appearance of more mass, while a male of a stockier build would have issues pulling such outfit off. Flair is an affective way to catch the eyes of others as there is no set way to piece flair together other then mixing items that work off or with each other in order to create an outfit. The beauty about flair is you can use a piece of two of current trends and melt them into various classic or other modern looks. Just remember the only issue with flair is if the items do not flow then it will be noticeable.
Style is by far the most common, comfortable, and in certain opinions the most attractive form of dressing. Style is commonly associated with dressing well, though it has more adaptability and variations then wearing common trends. That is because style is a way of dressing that reflects your body, your attitude. In cases such as this you are able to mix "looks" together, such as a nice hooded sweatshirt with a casual dress coat, in order to create a refined, yet relaxed looked (think college grad student). The best part about working with you own style is the options that open to you. Dressing with clothing that matches your attitude or vibe that you give off (such as punk, preppy, bad boy/girl, hipster) will immediately affect they way people feel about and perceive you. If you match your clothing to your daily way of acting and thinking it will become noticed by those around you and will create a sense of attraction. Style is hard to be dictated as many people who do not follow trends have a style that works for them, reason being is that they are comfortable in what they are wearing and feel more attractive, in turn are seen as attractive.
Knowing how to represent yourself through clothing will definitely make a statement, a statement that shows you care about yourself, the way you look and feel will help show your confidence. People who choose not to try, who show no care in the way that they dress, are often seen as less attractive. Mainly due to people assuming that they do not care about themselves as a person. The same thing though can be said about those hiding themselves behind the comforts of the latest trend, as many of these people are wearing these trends solely to be seen as attractive, often times having the reverse effect as they look awkward or uncomfortable causing reflections in their confidence. When it comes to fashion, true style is created by individuals using clothing as a way of representing who they are, rather then mimicking something they are not.
